Element Restaurant Schroeders Schwartz house the Sundae

Schroeder's Department Store has served the Lakeshore community since Peter Schroeder founded the business in 1891. The present building was constructed in 1899.

Now in our third generation of Schroeder family ownership, they have strived to maintain that small town, family store charm and a total commitment to the customer. One can enjoy the experience of shopping for all the latest fashions in the atmosphere of a "good old" department store.

along Washington Street

Take the time to enjoy the romance of the "Old Fashion Department Store" atmosphere ... the sound of the old creaking floor ... all the old wood cabinets ... and the special treats found at the candy counter.
