Some
of the people on Tanna Island in the country of Vanuatu are member of the
"Cargo Cult"
called the "Johnfrom Society".
There belief is that all good things come from the sky (delivered by airplanes). Met by soldiers during the war who gave them gifts, it is believed that it was John from America. Their sacred sign is a Red Cross like on a medic's armband.
